KRAUS KWU110-32 Accessories: What Can Go in the Dishwasher?

The KRAUS KWU110-32 accessory bundle is not one dishwasher-safe set. Hand-wash its bamboo cutting board. KRAUS lists the KRM-11 rolling rack as dishwasher safe; its stainless-grid care instructions require removing rubber feet and bumpers before dishwasher cleaning. Check the component supplied in your carton before applying those instructions to a replacement accessory.

That distinction matters before buying a workstation sink. A board over the bowl can free counter space during prep, but it still needs a place to dry. If your cleanup routine depends on putting every loose part into the dishwasher, the wooden board is a real compromise.

This button opens the complete 32-inch KWU110-32 sink kit, not a replacement board or rack. Owners replacing one worn accessory should identify that component separately instead of buying another sink.

Three KWU110-32 accessories with different care paths: hand-wash the bamboo board, dishwasher-safe KRM-11 rack, and remove rubber feet and bumpers before washing a stainless grid.

These part names come from the KWU110-32 specification sheet. Retail package revisions and separately purchased replacements may differ. The sink model identifies the starting bundle; it does not prove that an unlabelled accessory bought years later has the same material or care limits.

The board needs a drying place outside the wet work area

KRAUS advises washing wooden cutting boards with mild detergent, rinsing and drying them with a soft cloth or allowing them to air-dry upright. Its care guide also discusses food-grade mineral oil for wood maintenance. Follow the supplied board instructions for the product and application method.

Our practical buying check is simple: decide where the board will stand after dinner while the sink is still in use. A narrow counter may make the over-sink board attractive, yet leave nowhere convenient to dry it. Storing it under wet dishes on the rack solves the space problem poorly because you still have two accessories waiting to be put away.

Do not treat the board as a permanent sink cover. Move it when you need clear access for large cookware or cleaning the ledge. If you already use a counter board that suits your routine, the workstation bundle’s board may add less value than the product photograph suggests.

The rolling rack and bottom grid do different jobs

The KRM-11 rack sits across the upper work area and rolls for storage. The KBG-UN1-32 grid rests at the bottom. Cleaning one does not clean the surfaces beneath the other. Lift the bottom grid to reach the sink floor, and clear the ledge where accessories sit.

For everyday cleaning, KRAUS recommends soft tools rather than abrasive pads or wire brushes. Its stainless-grid dishwasher instructions specifically exclude the removable rubber feet and bumpers from that wash. Keep those small parts together and put them back before returning the grid to the bowl.

If a protective foot has disappeared, identify the correct replacement instead of leaving exposed metal resting against the sink. If the entire grid needs replacement, use its named model and drain layout. Our bottom-grid measurement guide explains why the sink’s advertised width alone is insufficient.

A quick ownership checklist before ordering

  • Count the accessories you will actually use. A board and rack used most days can justify the added care; stored accessories do not create more useful kitchen space.
  • Plan a drying and storage spot. Check it with your usual dishes on the counter, rather than an empty kitchen.
  • Keep the component list. Save the carton details and accessory care sheets so replacement shopping does not depend on appearance alone.
  • Separate care from installation. An accessory being easy to wash does not prove that your countertop opening leaves its ledge usable.

The KWU110-32 is a 32 × 19-inch undermount model with a specified 36-inch minimum cabinet width. KRAUS warns against a negative reveal because countertop overhang can interfere with accessories. Who should choose this workstation kit?

Consider it if the board and rolling rack replace real counter tasks and you accept separate care for wood, rack and grid. Prefer a simpler bowl if fast cleanup and an unobstructed basin matter more than working over the sink. Neither choice establishes better hygiene or durability; those would need different evidence.

Research scope

Reviewed September 23, 2026 (UTC): KRAUS KWU110-32 specification, KRM-11 specification, KCB-WS103BB product information, KRAUS Care and Maintenance guidance, and the selected US retail package. This is document-based buying and care guidance. We have not installed the sink, run dishwasher cycles or measured long-term accessory wear.

Replacing a damaged board? Check KRAUS and Ruvati workstation accessory compatibility before ordering. Brand, exact sink model, support ledges and the current replacement-part specification matter more than a similar overall size.
