The Ruvati RVH7121 is a sensible candidate for a compact prep or wet-bar station when you have a suitable 24-inch-or-larger base cabinet and an undermount-compatible countertop. Its 21-inch outside width is not the cabinet requirement. The listed bowl is 19 × 16 inches and 10 inches deep, so this small footprint still takes meaningful space below the counter.
We checked the stainless-steel RVH7121 specification and US buying variant on September 16, 2026. This is a document-based fit guide, not an installation or long-term-use review. It does not cover the differently finished RVH7121BL or RVH7121GG.

What the three widths actually mean
- 24 inches: the manufacturer’s minimum base-cabinet width. It is not a statement that every cabinet has 24 inches of clear space inside.
- 21 inches: the sink’s overall width, including its rim.
- 19 inches: the listed inside-bowl width, before considering how a particular object fits the rounded corners.
The outside front-to-back dimension is 18 inches; the bowl measures 16 inches front to back. The countertop opening is a separate measurement. Use the supplied cutout template and actual sink with the fabricator, not a rectangle drawn from either the outside or inside dimensions.
A quick layout exercise helps: mark the sink footprint on your proposed counter with removable tape, then place a cutting board and a few glasses beside it. This does not approve the cutout. It answers a different question: after adding the sink, is there still a useful preparation or landing area?
Good for preparation; test your main cleanup items
The RVH7121 makes the most sense as a separate place to rinse produce, fill a pitcher or wash barware while a larger kitchen sink handles pans. The compact width can leave more adjacent counter available than a full-size sink, depending on the layout.
For a tiny kitchen’s only sink, make the decision with your actual cookware. Measure the outside of your largest tray, including its rim, and the handles on your skillet. A bowl dimension is not a promise that a rectangular tray will lie flat on the bottom. If you routinely wash several bulky items together, the compact opening may be the larger compromise even though the bowl is deep.
Choose it for a defined prep job, not because “bar sink” implies shallow or effortless installation. Its listed 10-inch depth can be helpful for a pitcher but demands a deliberate reach and plumbing check.

The drain is rear center with a 3½-inch opening. In a narrow base cabinet, the drain assembly, supply valves and storage plan compete for a small area. Sketch those parts in side view as well as from above. A pull-out bin that fits the cabinet’s nominal width may still collide with plumbing.
The listed kit includes the sink, rinse grid, basket strainer, drain cover, mounting clips and cutout template. The included strainer is for standard drain plumbing; a disposal installation uses the appropriate disposal flange, which is not included with the sink. Having a matching drain-hole size does not settle disposal-body clearance or the height of the waste connection.
Before ordering a disposal or organizer, ask the installer to check the full assembly in the planned cabinet. Our sink-depth and disposal-clearance guide explains why bowl depth is only one part of that check.
Leave room for the faucet and mounting hardware
This is an undermount model, so the faucet layout needs its own plan on the countertop or other approved mounting surface. Check handle travel near the backsplash, the spout’s landing point in the bowl, and access beneath the faucet. A small sink does not automatically mean a large faucet will be comfortable to use with it.
The fabricator also needs room for the chosen sink support and mounting system. Cabinet rails, drawer-like false fronts and corner obstructions can matter even when the outside cabinet measurement meets the minimum. For an existing counter, compare the actual opening and material before treating this as a replacement candidate. See our undermount versus drop-in guide if the installation type is still undecided.
When to choose a different size
Go smaller if the station is mainly for quick rinsing and preserving a generous landing area matters more than bowl width. Go larger if this will handle everyday large-pan cleanup and your cabinet and counter can support it. If a shallow bowl is essential for your reach or the plumbing route, do not assume the RVH7121 meets that need just because its top-view footprint is compact.
Our purchase rule is to confirm the cabinet and fabrication plan first, then test the prep workflow with your real items. Compare complete installed cost, including faucet and drain parts, instead of choosing solely by the sink’s current retail price.
Documents checked
Ruvati RVH7121 two-page specification sheet and model product information; US Amazon stainless-steel 21-inch Tight Radius variant B07R566VLG. Checked September 16, 2026. The supplied template and the actual product control fabrication; this article is not a cutout drawing.
For a smaller wet-bar cabinet or an existing drop-in counter, compare the Elkay D117193 three-hole bar-sink fit checks. Its 21-inch minimum cabinet requirement and above-counter rim address a different installation from this 24-inch-cabinet undermount model; an existing opening still needs individual verification.
